Thawing slightly

Gosh I'd better update on the advent swap
advent day 7
yum yum chocolate wishes
advent day 8
the cutest little red felt bird that will go on my tree (if G ever gets it down for me!!)
 advent day 9
Oh alison you are a saint I ran out of handcream last week but as I can only get to the shops in the village at the mo haven't been able to get any!

Well as the weather is so bad (although does look like it's thawimg slightly today) I have been sewing again. This is for my mums dog tess, she is a suluki (looks abit like a long haired gryhound) my dad wanted black white and pink so I chose this menzies tartan with black fleece lining
It has a big cerise button and a cerise bow (much brighter than the pic). I will stick it in the post for her today as I'm sure she needs it in this weather.
I also finished the coat I'd started (pre craft fair) for Daisy, again made from tartan (scotland the brave i think?) It's navy with a lovely deep purple and cerise (camera not doing it any favours) and the flower is actually a brooch I made which matches it perfectly.

Yesterday my lovely postman delivered a hefty package, it was seed beads that I'd ordered from totally beads on monday. I haven't shown you yet the twisted bead rope we learnt to make in last weeks class but I'm becoming slightly addicted. If you are a bead purist then totally beads might not be for you as the seed beads can vary slightly in size. I actually like this cos it adds more texture and as their 100g bags are only £1.50 ea means I can do heaps of practising. Needless to say I'd ordered 6 bags in gorgeous colours and some cubed beads? I'll take some piccies and show you what I've been making later. Tomorrow is the last lesson but I've enjoyed it so much that have decided to take Mhairis evening classes starting in Jan.

Well better get on as need to head down the village later to post more parcels and get essential supplies. G is off on a long weekend from tomorrow so will get him to take me for a BIG shop at the weekend, maybe even get my turkey etc whilst I'm at it as it's supposed to get worse again next week!!!

I absolutely love your doggie coats. I'm dog mad at the moment! I can't have one because the flat is tiny and we've already got two cats, but I dream of one day when I can! And it'll have one of your coats! Lots of love, Amanda xxx

Those coats look gorgeous, I love the embellishments that you have added. I wish I had not seen the picture with chocolate though as I really want some now :0) x
