Daisy Dumplings doing fine

Well I've finely found the time to blog, and what have I been doing for the past 2 1/2 weeks?
Looking after Daisy.

Before we went on holiday we'd had a trip to Glasgow Vetinary Hospital with her where she had xrays to diagnose the problem with her leg. We thought it was a torn cruciate ligament but it turned out to be a dislocated knee AS WELL and surgey was needed!! Not really what you want to be told just before you go on your dream holiday. So after discussions with the orthopedic surgeon it was decided that she'd have the surgery on our return.
So she went in and came home two days later with bald patches and dressings on her poorly leg which had to be broken (the bone cut) and pinned and plated back together. She is on strictly restricted excersice actually only getting to go out to do her business in the garden on a lead. No running, jumping, climbing for 6 weeks!!

Last friday she had the stitches out but now the problems, how do you explain to a hyper active little dog who obviously starting to feel better that she still has a poorly leg and can't play??

I don't know which of us is suffering more from cabin fever, and whilst the last two weeks were okay cos we could sit and cuddle and watch the olympics I'm now completely bored. Not that I don't have loads I could do but as I can't take my eyes off Daisy for a minute even vaccuming is a nightmare!

Oh well only 3 weeks and 4 days to go!!
Not that we're counting?!

When my little guy had this surgery, I got a baby carrier, the kind that they face out on your chest, and carried him around. That way he got to go places, but wasn't using his leg!!!
